We'd like to welcome our new Nurse Practitioners to the Practice. Our Nurse Practitioners are extremely qualified and can examine, advise, prescribe and treat for many illnesses such as chest infections, urine infections and rashes. They can also complete your Medication Review.

Nurse Practitioners
Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners (NP) are registered nurses with qualifications at an advanced level. They are highly qualified practitioners with advanced clinical skills which allow them to examine, assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe and refer patients for investigations. Nurse Practitioners can deal with much of the doctor’s work Patients with an acute or short term illness may see an ANP or NP rather than a GP. The aim of implementing the ANP/NP service is to enhance the services available for patients. GP’s will still be available to treat patients who have complex health needs. Claire, Mel and Nick will be running our minor illness clinic Monday to Friday. Appointments can be made on the day by contacting reception. The clinic is overseen by our duty doctor |

Nurses
The nurses can offer help with minor ailments, routine and travel injections, immunisations, dressings, removing stitches, etc. They are very involved in health promotion and can provide general advice on a wide range of health concerns. |

The HoEFT team of community midwives are involved in the antenatal clinics at the surgery and in the deliveries of patients booked into the local hospitals. |
